Double Occupancy: All room rates are based on double occupancy. Single room rate deduct $10 per night.

Deposits and Cancellation Policy: A deposit of 50% is required within seven days of making a reservation. If a reservation is canceled with at least 14 days notice, your deposit will be refunded less a $20 service charge, but can be credited at the completion of a future stay. If the cancellation is less than 14 days prior to arrival, the deposit is forfeited unless the room is re-rented. Non-refundable, full deposits are required for all groups of 3 or more rooms.

Tax: NH Room & Meals Tax of 8% will be added to all rates. Rates subject to change, please inquire. All rates are US dollars.

Payments: Can be made by cash, personal check, VISA or Mastercard. A $30 fee will be applied for any returned checks.

Children & Pets: Well behaved children are always welcomed, however we are unable to accommodate any pets without an agreement to our Pet Policy below, but we will gladly make recommendations for great area kennels. A child or 3rd person staying in a room is an additional $25, more than one extra person we require a 2nd room to be rented.

Check-In & Check-out: Check-in is between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm unless prior arrangements have been made. Check-out time is by 10:30 am.

Guest Policies

The Colonel Spencer Inn is an historic pre-revolutionary home dating back to 1764. For the comfort and safety of you, other guests, innkeepers, and this home, following are some policies regarding your stay:

• NO SMOKING - due to insurance regulations, and general health concerns of others, absolutely no smoking is allowed in the inn or it’s exterior grounds (our gardener doesn’t like cleaning up after smokers). There will be a charge to your account of $100 per each night’s stay to defray costs of extra cleaning if there is any evidence of smoking.
• FIREPLACES - only the fireplaces in the living room and dining room are used in the inn, and can only be used in the winter months with the innkeeper’s present. The use of candles or incense is not permitted in guest rooms.
• Please keep all luggage off the bedspreads, it helps defray the extra cost of cleaning them.
• With most any home, and especially the charm of this antique home, maintenance is an ongoing project and our list is usually up-to-date. However, if there is anything you find not working properly, please kindly bring it to our attention.
• Children are welcome at the Colonel Spencer Inn. For the children's safety and the comfort of all guests, parents are expected to oversee their children's activities and curtail running, jumping, and loud behavior in the house.
• For everyone’s safety, only registered guests are permitted in the inn.
• While there is no guest curfew, quiet time is observed between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Please keep the volume on TVs & music low, and footsteps and conversations in the hallways quiet so as not to wake sleeping guests!
• Breakfast is served from 8-9:30 am unless prior arrangements were confirmed at check-in. Fresh coffee is available from 6:30 am for early risers.
• There is a lost key charge of $10.00.
• Wastebaskets are provided in each room. Please do not flush any products except toilet tissue down the commode!
• If the climate in your room is not to your comfort, please see the innkeeper, who will be happy to make any necessary modifications.
• Management reserves the right to terminate the stay of any guest who does not respect the guest policies of the Colonel Spencer Inn.

Pet Policies

Absolutely without exception, and only with  express prior approval, are dogs allowed at the Colonel Spencer Inn. No exceptions if prior approval was not made, or for any other animals.

At the Colonel Spencer Inn, we genuinely love dogs and very much enjoy having well behaved pets stay with us. The great majority of dogs cause no problem at all. However, in consideration of all our guests and in light of some of our experiences, we need to explicitly state our dog policy.

Dog owners are charged a $25 non-refundable fee per night. Proof of vaccination and flea protection must be sent to us at time of reservation or 14-days prior to arrival.

Upon arrival we have you sign the following contract stating that you agree to abide by the following guidelines during your stay:

1. My dog is not aggressive; up to date with vaccinations and is well socialized with other animals and people.
2. My dog is free of ticks and fleas.
3. My dog will be under my care at all times. If I leave my dog unattended, he/she will be crated, for the protection of guests and furnishings.
4. I assume the responsibility for any and all damages to the inn and furnishings.
5. At no time is my dog allowed on the beds or furniture.
6. At no time is my dog to be in the dining room, sun porch or kitchen.
7. When outside, my dog will be on a leash and under my control at all times.
8. I will dispose of my dog messes, both inside and outside. Potty breaks should be confined to areas away from buildings. While we understand that “accidents” may occur in inappropriate places, please be kind enough to remove it. No one likes ruined shoes; especially other inn guests who may not be as pet friendly.
9. I will clean off my dog if he/she is wet or dirty, using towels provided by Colonel Spencer Inn for dog care.
10. I will notify the innkeepers immediately of any dog accidents.
11. When away from the Inn, we will take our dog with us. The Inn is not a substitute for a kennel.
12. No barking! Dogs that continuously bark or otherwise bother others will be asked to leave at the owner's expense.

We hope you and your pet’s stay is most enjoyable. We will gladly accommodate you in any way possible. By following these rules we hope to continue to add to everyone's Colonel Spencer Inn experience.
